Crawford County Historical Society
Success Story
The Crawford County Historical Society needed to expand beyond traditional outreach methods to grow membership, increase donations, and strengthen overall revenue. By assessing existing resources and implementing a modern digital strategy including a redesigned website, e-newsletter, social media presence, and online tools for donations, ticketing, and memberships. Bull Moose Marketing helped the organization generate $60K in new revenue within 18 months and sustainably increase its annual operating budget to over $100K.
Need
As a nonprofit serving the community, the CCHS is reliant on grants, programming, and memberships for its operating revenue. The CCHS had a minimal digital presence and was limited to traditional channels such as direct mail and print to reach members and donors.
Approach
Bull Moose audited existing resources, inventoried key issues, & identified targeted audiences to build a marketing plan for creating awareness of the organization’s events while reaching new potential members beyond the immediate area.
Outcome
By upgrading their website, implementing an e-newsletter, establishing a social media presence, and outlining a content strategy while adding online tools for collecting donations, ticket sales, & member signups, the CCHS generated $60K in new revenue directly from these efforts over an 18-month period. These tactics proved sustainable, allowing the CCHS to increase its annual operating budget to over $100K.
