MEADVILLE, PA — March 27, 2026 — Bull Moose Marketing, a Pennsylvania-based brand strategy and marketing services agency, is proud to announce it has been awarded the contract to develop the 2026–2036 Regional Marketing Plan for the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship (PA Wilds Center). This comprehensive 10-year strategy will guide the promotion of the 13-county Pennsylvania Wilds region, one of the most ambitious landscape-scale conservation and economic revitalization initiatives in the United States.
“We recognize the critical nature and positive potential this plan holds for both the PA Wilds and its regional partners,” said Ron Mattocks, Owner and Director of Client Strategy at Bull Moose Marketing. “This is a tremendous opportunity to not only assist the region in achieving its long-term goals, but to learn first-hand what is working so effectively here and share those insights to help other rural communities solve similar challenges and thrive.”
The scope of the project will provide the PA Wilds Center with a formal, data-driven blueprint to navigate the next decade of regional promotion and growth. Bull Moose Marketing will execute the project across three distinct phases: comprehensive outreach and data collection involving state and regional stakeholders, including Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), Heritage Areas, and local artisans; an evaluation phase to define goals, messaging, platform monetization, and braided marketing strategies; and the final delivery of an actionable, sustainable roadmap. The plan will provide recommendations for leveraging the region’s marketing partner network, evaluating new technologies such as artificial intelligence, and establishing a financial framework to define the optimal marketing budgeting.
The PA Wilds Center operates as a recognized “Rural Development Hub,” seamlessly integrating conservation and economic development to strengthen and inspire communities. Encompassing more than 2 million acres of public land—more than Yellowstone National Park—the PA Wilds Center uses the region’s place-based brand to fuel a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem. This ecosystem includes the PA Wilds Cooperative (WCO), a value chain network of over 700 local businesses, as well as digital and physical commerce platforms like the PA Wilds Conservation Shops and the online Marketplace, which keep wealth rooted in the local economy.
Ta Enos, Founder and CEO of the PA Wilds Center, noted why the agency was selected to lead this defining project. “We needed a partner who truly understands the delicate balance between driving high-volume tourism demand and protecting the authentic, rugged character of our rural communities. Bull Moose Marketing brings a rare, hands-on understanding of how tourism, economic development, and planning intersect. Their commitment to our mission was evident in their proposal and previous work with tourism partners in the PA Wilds region and other parts of PA. We are excited to work with them and our tourism marketing partners on this next chapter for the PA Wilds destination marketing.”
